Life Coaching Overview
Life Coaching helps you become a happier, more confident and content person.
By supporting you as you discover new ways to approach your life, Life Coaching enables you to move forward in a direction that feels right to you.
Life Coaching is a positive acknowledgment that you want to achieve more from yourself and your life, and a Life Coach helps you to first recognise and then utilise your own inner knowledge. (Yes, your knowledge. After all you know you better than anyone else.) Working with a Life Coach enables you to become aware of what had previously gone unnoticed, and often the smallest change can have the biggest impact on how you think and feel, freeing you from limitations that had previously held you back.
Life Coaching is a positive confirmation that you want to utilise your talents and abilities to succeed in all you do. Life Coaching unlocks your potential, dispels feelings of negativity, discontentment and insecurity, and enabling you to:
- Enjoy your life
- Achieve things that matter to you
- Make decisions and choices with ease
- Feel confident to be just who you are meant to be; “Perfectly uniquely you”
- Understand and express your emotions effectively
- Overcome negative thinking
- Become a stronger and more confident person
- Move through times of challenge swiftly
- Learn and grow from your experiences
- Feel happier and more contented
What does Life Coaching do?
The truth is a Life Coach cannot do anything “for” you; they can only work “with” you. Life Coaching is a collaborative relationship and, if you go into it with an open mind and a determination to move your life from where it is now to where you want it to be, a very effective one.
If you are committed to change and willing to try new things then I can help you to:
- Recognise what is actually going on; see the wood from the trees
- Work out the small changes that will have a big impact on how you think and feel
- Set realistic and achievable targets
- Create new life strategies that work for you
Coaches are used in many professions, most commonly in sport helping athletes to become more conscious of what works and helping them become aware of, and avoid, behaviour that is not productive. A Life Coach works in the same way, enabling you to develop the positives and eliminate the negatives, becoming the very best you can.
A Life Coach is someone who you can speak with who is not connected to you or your situation and therefore can offer a perspective that a friend or colleague cannot. A coach client relationship is a collaborative, confidential relationship with the shared goal of helping you get from where you are now to where you want to be faster and more easily than you would alone. The coach supports you on your journey, completely believing in you and your ability to achieve.
A Life Coach’s role is to listen to you intently and be 100% present. There is great power in this alone, how often do we feel truly listened to in life? Often this in itself has the effect of giving you a new awareness of your situation, but the coach is also trained to use questioning techniques that encourage you to look at your life from a new perspective, revealing things that had previously gone unnoticed. It will help you to become aware of small changes that can have a big impact on how you think and feel.
Coaching is not a directive process. In other words, a Life Coach will not offer solutions to your problem, but they will empower you to find solutions/options that are right for you. A Life Coach may offer you support by way of certain methodologies or interventions to move you through unhelpful thinking/emotions, freeing you up to act in ways that are empowering and helpful to you.

Thank you for all your help. You have had such a profound effect on my recovery and am very grateful.
I found it interesting to learn a bit more about how our subconscious mind works and it was just reassuring to hear that I do have the ability to change my thought patterns and push out any negativity.
